Providers

Sasha Khosravi, DO

Clive Behavioral Health is pleased to introduce Dr. Sasha Khosravi as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO). As CMO of Clive Behavioral Health, Dr. Khosravi will oversee clinical operations of the medical staff, implementing safety and quality improvement efforts and evaluating overall quality of services.

Dr. Khosravi joined MercyOne in 2006 and has been instrumental in multiple initiatives to broaden and expand behavioral health services for the community. He helped with the move from Mercy Franklin to MercyOne central campus with modern and expanded new inpatient facilities, and helped develop the MercyOne Pediatric Neurology and Psychiatry Center. Dr. Khosravi is committed to education and training of future clinicians and was integral to the creation of the MercyOne Psychiatric Residency program, training residents and helping achieve compliance with the Accreditation Council Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). He is also committed to advocacy and is part of the Iowa Psychiatry Society, serving as past chair of its legislative committee. He also consults with multiple school districts and was recently awarded a Distinguished Service Award at the 2019 Midwest Regional School Conference.

Dr. Khosravi graduated from Des Moines University, followed by a psychiatry residency at Washington University in Saint Louis and served as chief fellow at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital for his Child and Adolescent Fellowship.

He completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Barlow is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His general focus is adult psychiatry, and he specializes in caring for patients diagnosed with treatment resistant depression, as well as Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and Schizophrenia. He has extensive experience with electroconvulsive therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and general medication management. Dr. Barlow’s personal interests include spending time with family, traveling, hiking, reading, and music – with a special fondness for 1980’s Rock music and classic 80s movies.

Dr. Barlow is passionate about providing mental health education to help eradicate the stigma of mental illness. He will always treat those suffering from these diagnoses as people who are much, much more than their respective illness.
