Sherilyn Rittgers
Sherilyn Rittgers, ARNP
Sherilyn is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She enjoys working with children and adults who have mental health challenges. Sherilyn takes a holistic approach to treatment and believes there are many wonderful ways to optimize mental health that include positive connection, spending time in nature, moving our bodies, incorporating more whole foods into our diets, and using medication when necessary. Sherilyn is on a journey of learning to integrate these healing modalities in her own life and enjoys walking alongside her patients as they embark on their own healing journey. Sherilyn believes feeling loved and understood is an important part of any treatment. Sherilyn enjoys being outside, practicing yoga, spending time with family and friends, and dancing in her kitchen.
Sherilyn has completed numerous trainings in nutritional psychiatry, has completed training with the Center for Mind Body Medicine, and is currently in the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s fellowship program.
Sherilyn knew she wanted to be a mental health nurse during her first mental health rotation in nursing school. She has been a mental health nurse for over 20 years working with kids and adults in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
